So for the past week, we have been trying to figure out how the Sudanese Red Crescent Society in the Red Sea State (RSS) is organized. We are both organizers and planners at heart, so we have put up wall posters and maps in our office for us (and the volunteers) to fill in.
Trying to gather this information, we have been asking the staff, the volunteer leaders, the locality leaders, the unit leaders. So far we know that: RSS has five active localities. One of these has three sectors. Every sector is made up of seven to 13 units. One unit has at least 50 volunteer members. Conclusion: We are dealing with a lot of volunteers, which again means a lot of potensial!
Next week we hope to visit most of SRCS's centers in the Red Sea State in order to get an overview over the activities.
